Spring officially kicked off on March 20, 2025. Before this date, I heard spring peepers in the Hudson Valley and knew that one of my favorite seasons was arriving.

Spring peepers are always a way that I can feel the start of this new season. I truly love this time of year. Not only is nature and the animals waking up from hibernation, so are the people who also hibernate during the cooler months.

Spring and summer have so much to offer in New York state. It's only April and the grass has started to grow and turn bright green! I've also noticed the return of singing birds, energetic squirrels and bunnies and more furry friends.

We can also look forward to watching the flowers blossom in the Hudson Valley. Some residents find joy in planting flowers, trees, plants, produce and more.

Thankfully, the days have been longer since Daylight Saving Time and it's starting to warm up in the Hudson Valley. Mother nature, I have one request. Please send us more sun filled days!
