Western and Upstate New York was hit with several days of massive lake effect snowstorms and some areas are still trying to dig themselves out of the feet of snow that was dropped on them by Mother Nature.
Several snowfall records were set over the weekend including the most snow ever for New York State.
It is crazy how much snow fell over the past weekend across New York State. The National Weather Service put out a map of snowfall totals and the sheer amount of snow is astounding.
Check out their map.
A big shout out to all the snowplow drivers, truck drivers, first responders, fire and police officers, and to all the amazing neighbors who went out and helped shovel out driveways and walkways.
Snow removal crews were still working as of this morning clearing out the main roads and side streets before one of the busiest travel days of the year.
The good news is that this weekend the temperatures will remain warm and there is only a slight chance of light snow across the state. Most places will be more rain than snow.
