The Vision of Wallkill made a post on social media highlighting an upcoming event. This group is located in the Hamlet of Wallkill, NY. They take pride in bringing the community together through events, entertainment, culture and more.

The Vision of Wallkill is inviting social media users to join them at an upcoming event within the Hamlet of Wallkill, NY. Now this is something that we must see in person! Imagine thousands of rubber ducks in a local river within Ulster County.

I present to you, the 5th Annual Duck Derby on the Wallkill River at Popp Park. This event is unique, fun and something that everyone can experience!

When Can We Attend The Annual Duck Derby Event In Ulster County, NY?

The Vision of Wallkill shared that we can attend the Annual Duck Derby on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Popp Park.

This event starts at 12pm and the race will kick off at 3pm as well. Not only is this an exciting and playful gathering but it’s going to benefit the Wallkill High School’s senior class for events and scholarships. Woohoo!

What Else Can We Experience At This Duck Derby Event In Ulster County, NY?

These ducks will be released into the water and those who are participating would want their duck to be the fastest to win. If so, they would receive an award and cash prize.

Shoutout to the local volunteers that kayak throughout this race and rush these rubber ducks along the beautiful Wallkill River, haha.

If you want to join the fun and adopt a duck, you can reach out to the Wallkill Public Library or purchase them at the event. One duck adoption is $5 while six ducks are $25.

There will be first, second and third place winners. This could range from $100 to $250 and even $500! The Vision of Wallkill also shared other events that will take place on the Annual Duck Derby day. There will be a local bake sale, music, raffles, food, ice cream and more!
