On January 16, 2025, Eng's Chinese Restaurant made a post on Instagram on how they would be reopening their dining room on February 5, 2025.

Eng's shared,

"Our hiatus began with the pandemic, and in recent years, there was not a single day that went by without someone asking us when we would reopen the dining room."

Their dining room has reopened after many years. Guests can join them for dinner Wednesday through Sunday from 4-pm. Eng's Chinese Restaurant also offers take out options from Wednesday through Monday from 11am-9:30 pm and Sunday as well.

It was fascinating to learn about their journey from China to Hong Kong and finally to New York City. The owner of this restaurant took a dishwasher's job in Kingston, NY which led him to be there for the next 50 years as a cook and more.

Tom took over Eng's Chinese Restaurant after Paul Eng retired.

Residents claim that this is one of the oldest continuous restaurants in the Kingston, NY area which opened in the 1920's. Foodies enjoy their classic chinese cuisine options.
