Regal Cinemas Re-Opening Plan & New Rules for Movie Goers
Are you hoping and wishing for things to 'get back to normal?' One sign that things are starting to return to some sense of normal is the fact that movie theaters are going to start re-opening.
This week Regal Cinemas announced (via email) that they would start opening their theaters July 10, 2020, with their expectation to have all of their nation wide theaters fully operational by Friday, July 24, 2020.
As a guest, you will notice that they will be encouraging you to purchase tickets using their Regal app, which will allow for contact less payments. Another safety measure that they have added is that they will be cleaning each theater between movie screenings using a fogger type system. According to a press release, this is how it will work:
Ultra Low Volume (ULV) Foggers. Employees will sanitize every auditorium and seat after each movie using new electrostatic 'fogger' equipment. This form of deep sanitization is highly effective in disinfecting all materials with a non-toxic formula that is fast drying.
The theaters will also ask you to space yourself and your group from others and they will be operating each screening at less than full capacity. Or just that big screen and sound experience?
