Hudson Valley’s First Plato’s Closet Opens To Great Reviews
New year, new us!
Hudson Valley residents can clean out their clothes and get paid for what they don't want to keep anymore. Within the same day, they could use the money they get from selling their clothes and purchase new items instead.
I love the idea behind Plato's Closet and I'm happy that it's now within our area.
Before, I would travel upstate or to different states to sell my items at Plato's Closet locations. Thankfully, we won't have to go far to experience Plato's Closet within the Hudson Valley.
What Is Plato's Closet, How Does It Work?
This "Thrift & Consignment Store" may be the best one you've ever been to.
Plato's Closet has,
"more than 500 individually owned and operated locations"
At participating locations, guests can bring in their gently used clothing and accessories that they would like to sell at Plato's Closet. It's suggested that the items are to be brought in a bin, laundry basket or trash bag without any hangers.
Guests will receive a phone call when their order is complete, after staff members go through the clothing options brought in and decide what they choose to sell.
When picking up the items, the customer is asked if they would like to sell the amount of clothes Plato's Closet has picked. The guest would receive an amount of the items they are selling and can receive cash that day.
This process is great for someone who's looking to get rid of their clothing and make money as well. I suggest calling the Plato's Closet location that you're choosing to visit to ask questions about the process if needed.

Why Do I Prefer The Hudson Valley's First Plato's Closet Location More Than Others?
I had a great experience at Plato's Closet in Poughkeepsie, NY.

It was also a more laid-back experience. The store is neat, organized, and an inviting space.
