The Village of Tannersville shared that this area is known as,
"The Painted Village In The Sky"
They also mentioned that Tannersville has this nickname because of a movement with local artists who enjoyed painting. Tannersville is such a cute village filled with vibrant colors so it makes sense for it to have a bright nickname!

The Village of Tannersville also included that this area also is known for,
"playing an important part of American art history, our mountaintop region has shown a continuing interest in developing the arts in Tannersville."
Within the Tannersville area, we can visit the Catskill Jazz Factory, 23Arts and Orpheum Performing Arts Center to take in the beauty of local art, performances and more! Personally, I would love to visit this Greene County village.

The Great Northern Catskills gave complimented to this village within the Catskills. They included,
"Tannersville is one of the most walkable and visually distinctive towns in the Catskills, with brightly painted buildings and creative businesses lining Main Street."
While in Tannersville, we can check out a new business! Sugarville is the Catskills new dessert destination that looks like a scene out of my favorite game as a kid, CandyLand!
Sugarville is located on Main Street right in Tannersville and has cotton candy, gelato and even bubble waffles for us to enjoy. Have fun exploring all that the Catskills has to offer!
