The dates for the Orange County Tax Foreclosure properties has been set. The date of the auction will be Tuesday, March 31, 2020. If you have never been to one of these tax auctions before, there are a few things that you will need to do to make sure that you don't get in over your head. There is an information seminar that you might want to check out to make sure that this is something that you will want to be a part of. That info seminar will take place on March 30, 2020.

There is a listing of the properties that are available along with what you would have to do if you wanted to go ahead and bid on them. You do have to be pre-registered before you can bid either online or in person.

There is a 10% buyers premium that you would have to pay in addition to what ever the final price is plus additional fees before you can get the keys to see what it is that you actually purchased.

Is this a flip your house type of thing? Well, that depends on the property. There could still be people living in the 'home' and you would have to evict them. The properties are auctioned 'as is, where is'. These are not usually homes that are in perfect move in shape. In some cases, the houses are not safe enough for you to walk through them. In other cases, major repairs might be needed.

Still interested? Then go ahead and complete the registration to bid paperwork and then make sure to go to the property that you wish to bid on Monday, March 30, 2020. This is what is called the showing date. If the properties are accessible, you will be able to look at them that day, until then you can do a drive by and check them out from a distance.

Good luck.
