This Orange County location is growing vastly and becoming very popular in the Hudson Valley area.

I know Newburgh has a pretty rough reputation around the area and it's been that way for a while. I've recently spent a lot of time in Newburgh and there are a ton of cool restaurants to go check out and a ton of history. You can tell new businesses are coming up and buildings are getting a major facelift there. There are some really cool transformations that I've discovered in the Newburgh area and it proves that it's on its way up and changing for the better.

Silk Factory:

How about we throwback to 2012, when the Silk Factory was just an empty building that was for sale.

I might be a little biased because this is one of my favorite places. Take a look at the Silk Factory now and see what an incredible transformation. The Silk Factory has an incredible brunch menu, awesome live events, and an amazing owner named Rich who really cares about the Newburgh community and his customers.

The Silk Factory has become a very cool spot to check out and it's located at 299 Washington Street right in Newburgh. The Silk Factory even has fans in Connecticut, my Dad drives from Connecticut just to check out all the cool things the Silk Factory has to offer.

Hudson Taco:

There weren't always tacos and tequila here. A few years ago, this spot at 27 Water Street was a pretty sad sight.

For the best interest of the Hudson Valley, I've tested their tequila and tacos here and they are delicious Hudson Taco has some great food and beautiful views of the Newburgh waterfront. There's usually a ton of people trying to get in there on any given day and it's another reason Newburgh has become a popular spot for food.

Midnight Ferry:

This building on Front Street looked pretty sad in 2018.

Midnight Ferry is a delicious ice cream spot that recently opened up (It has not helped me stay on my diet). A great way to end a beautiful summer night on the Newburgh waterfront is to get some yummy ice cream, take my advice and get a celebration shake. Trust me on that one...
