If you've driven on Route 9D in Wappingers Falls over the last few weeks, you have have seen yellow signs scattered along the other road signs in town.

Some of the signs say "Set" others say "BMD" and "Base Camp." Not that they're much of a distraction, but you really can't miss them.

But what do they mean? If you've been a little confused, we have some answers for you.

Signs Across 9D Lead to Something Pretty Cool

For the last few years, the Hudson Valley has been a hub for Hollywood. Several television shows and movies have picked the region as their backdrop.

These yellow signs indicated that a production set is nearby.  Obviously these signs are used to help the team working on the project figure out where they need to go.

What project do the signs in Wappingers Falls lead to?

New Medical Comedy Filming Across the Hudson Valley

After doing a little research and connecting the dots, we figured out that Fox's new medical comedy Best Medicine was/is filming in and around New Hamburg in Wappingers Falls.

Best Medicine stars Josh Charles (The Handmaids Tale/ Good Wife) as he takes on the role of Martin Best.

According to Deadline, Martin Best is "a brilliant surgeon who abruptly leaves his illustrious career in Boston to become the general practitioner in a quaint East Coast fishing village where he spent summers as a child."

When we first heard about Best Medicine filming in the Hudson Valley back in May 2025, we learned that production would use the new Choice Stages Management in Newburgh.

Best Medicine is an adaptation of a U.K. series called Doc Martin.
