Two Winning Powerball Tickets Sold in New York

Two Powerball tickets worth one million dollars each were sold in New York, including one in the Hudson Valley, NY.

There were two jackpot winners in the second-largest Powerball jackpot of all time, topping out at a whopping $1.79 billion.

Two Players Split Powerball Jackpot

The winning tickets for the September 6th, 2025, Powerball drawing were sold in Missouri and Texas, matching all six numbers drawn on Saturday. The winning numbers were 11, 23, 44, 61, 62, and the Powerball 17.

This is obviously disappointing for New York Powerball players, but the good news is that there were two million-dollar tickets sold in New York.

Two Powerball Tickets Worth Millions Sold in New York

It isn't the jackpot, but two Powerball players in New York are celebrating today after coming as close as you can to winning the jackpot by matching five of the six numbers drawn.

Each of the winning tickets is worth $1 million according to the New York Lottery website.

One of the winning tickets was sold in Nassau County on Long Island at the Hillside Cigar Shop, located at 338 Hillside Ave in Williston Park, NY.

Million Dollar Powerball Winner in the Hudson Valley, NY

The second winning ticket was sold in Sullivan County, NY, at the Shop Rite located at 46 Thompson Square in Monticello, NY. The winner, who hasn't come forward yet, missed winning the first-place jackpot by one number (the Powerball).

The Monticello winner matched five of the six numbers to win the second-place jackpot of one million dollars.

20 New Yorkers Win Thousands in Powerball

There were also twenty third-place winners across New York who matched five of the six numbers drawn, along with the Powerball. One of the winning tickets was sold at the Stewart's Shop off of Route 9 at 3648 Albany Post Road in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Each winner is set to collect $50,000. Following Saturday drawing the Powerball jackpot resets to $20 million. Powerball numbers are drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
