8 Places the Hudson Valley Say to Avoid Going on Vacation

If you are planning a 2024 vacation here are a few places that the Hudson Valley says you should pass on.

This time of year many of us are starting to look at the 2024 calendar to see when we might be able to take a vacation. If you are lucky enough to be able to take one next year the last thing you want to happen is that you spend all of your hard-earned money and you go, only to find out that the place you've picked doesn't live up to the hype. To avoid that, we asked Hudson Valley vacationers what destination or vacation place they visited that they'd never go back to.

8 Places New Yorkers Should Avoid Vacationing

Remember that all of the places mentioned below (except one) were suggested to us and by no means do we think if you plan a trip to any of these places you will have the same experiences as the person who suggested it.

Mexico

A fan from Middletown, NY said that Mexico is a place she would never go back to saying, "MEXICO!!! Worst trip ever!!!" She explained that she went to a wedding and while there a family member had a medical emergency and when they went to the hospital nobody spoke English so it was close to impossible to communicate with anyone. She also mentioned how when they went out on an excursion the roads they were on were awful and she got extremely car sick. She ended her message with

"I have NO desire to go back!"

Florida

Numerous fans said that Florid is their least favorite place to vacation with one fan saying that his reason for never going back is political...LOL! Mike said, "Florida. I have a favorite cousin there but the place is disgusting politically." I'm not sure if the way a place is politically has any bearing on whether or not I go but if that's important to you Florida might not be for you.

New Jersey Shore

Honestly, there are a ton of GREAT shore destinations that are well worth a vacation but according to a bunch of Hudson Valley folks, there are a few that you might want to avoid including LBI, and Seaside Heights. Personally, I went on vacation last year to Wildwood, NJ, and had a great time until someone stole my rental bicycle. After that, I will never go back!

Disney

Disney was the number one destination that the Hudson Valley vacationers say to avoid going to. Most people who suggested Disney gave us the same reasons including, that there are way too many people and how expensive it is to go. Did we miss any destinations?
