
Popular Hudson Valley Restaurant is Opening a New Location
One of the area's favorite places to eat has announced they are preparing to open a third Hudson Valley location in Poughkeepsie, New York.
2025 will be a year of celebration for Chef Ed Kowalski and his teams at the Lola's Cafes in New Paltz, and Poughkeepsie, NY as they prepare to celebrate their 20th anniversary all year long.
Lola's Café in Poughkeepsie, NY Celebrates 20 Years
Back in 2005, Kowalski opened the first Lola's Café at 31 Washington St, Poughkeepsie, hoping to create a "go-to spot" for made to order lunch offering sandwiches, soups and much more giving the local neighborhoods a healthy alternative to fast food.

Once the Poughkeepsie location opened, it also served as a base location for the growing catering offerings at Lola's. Since they began, Lola's has had the opportunity to cater "some of the most important events in people's lives" according to their website. They cater weddings, small engagement parties, anniversaries, and more.
Lola's Café in New Paltz, New York
In 2017, Lola's announced that they would be expanding across the Hudson River into Ulster County and opening their second location in the heart of New Paltz, NY. The second location opened in July 2017 to rave reviews, offering made-to-order sandwiches, salads, bowls, and fresh homemade soups.
The Lola's team thanked everyone for their support over the last 20 years on social media saying,
"After 20 successful years, we want to thank everyone that has supported us & continue to support us throughout this crazy journey. Cheers to our next adventure… we can’t wait to celebrate with you guys!!"
Lola's Café Opening New Location
It appears that their next adventure is opening a second location in Poughkeepsie! According to a recent post on Facebook, Lola's Café will be expanding into one of the most popular villages in the Hudson Valley. Eastdale Village, located at 10 Otto Way, Poughkeepsie, NY, has announced that Lola's Café will be expanding into a 6,000-square-foot restaurant in the village.
Lola's Café at Eastdale is slated to open in 2026 and will offer guests all of the Lola's favorites along with a large bar serving craft cocktails and local wine & beers, Sunday brunch, and a private dining room for intimate events and dinner parties.
