Registered Sex Offender

During the course of the police investigation officers discovered that Skinner was a registered sex offender and required by law to verify his address from time to time and during one of those updates he allegedly filed a document containing false information regarding his address. That discovery led police to also charge him with two additional felonies including failing to register as a sex offender and offering a false instrument.

Skinner was held overnight by KPD and later transferred to the Ulster County Jail.

This is still an active investigation, and KPD is asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact the City of Kingston Detective Division at 845-331-8404.
