It is not every day that you see a shoe or should I say a boot driving around Kingston. Today however was the exception. The L.L. Bean Boot was in town touring as they got ready to open a Kingston location.

The boot made a stop in the Lingston community at People's Place, 17 Saint James Street. People's Place is a food pantry, community cafe, wellness empowerment center, and thrift store. They also serve Ulster County with more than 20 free programs. People's Place has been in action since 1972.

LL Bean Boot Spotted in Kingston, New York

It is not clear exactly why the L.L. Bean Boot made a stop at People's Place but it is clear they were welcomed and happy to give the L.L. Bean crew a tour. Maybe The Boot brought some donations for the thrift shop.

L.L. Bean will be opening a store in Kingston at 1187 Ulster Avenue sometime this Spring so it is no surprise that they would bring the boot car around to say hi to the neighborhood. The Boot Car has been stopped often in the Hudson Valley.

Last October they did a Pop-Up Shop.

Back late last year word got out that the world Famous Maine-based outdoor store would be opening a location in Ulster County. Everyone seems really excited about being able to head in for shopping.

According to the press people L.L. Bean should be opening up this spring.

In January they sent word that the store would be opening and they were also looking to hire in the area. I myself have not been by the store to see how much progress has been made over the winter but I plan to do a drive-by now that I know the Boot has been spotted in town making local stops to say hi. I'll let you know what I uncover.
