Dunkin' fans in the Kingston, NY area will have to find a new place for coffee while this location temporarily closes.

Most of us have a daily routine that we go through each day and if something gets in the way or disrupts it, it can ruin the whole day, right? It probably goes something like getting up, showering, getting dressed, leaving the house, and stopping for coffee as quickly as possible...LOL! If stopping for coffee is as important to you as it is to me and you live in the Kingston area be aware that you will need to change up your routine for a little while.

Changes at Kingston, New York Dunkin'

Back in March, the folks that own the Dunkin' Donuts at 585 Ulster Ave in Kingston submitted plans to the Town of Ulster Planning Board that explained some of the renovations they would like to do at the popular location. The plans included various renovations and upgrades including replacing the drive-thru with new equipment, incorporating new color schemes on the exterior façade, and new signage.

The new signage will remove the word "Donuts" and simply say "Dunkin" as the company continues its reimagining across the country. A similar renovation was just completed at the Dunkin' on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Dunkin' in Kingston Temporarily Closing

The site plans which were eventually approved by the Town Planning Board will force the Dunkin on Ulster Ave to close for a bit while construction takes place. According to customers who spoke to a manager at the coffee shop, the location's last day of service will be on Sunday, October 27th. Renovations are expected to take about a month to complete so it's unclear when they will reopen but as soon as they announce the date we will update this article.
