Dutchess County Sheriff Deputy Passes Away

Sadly, on November 15th, 2024 we learned that after fighting for years Dutchess County Sheriff Deputy Nick Gasparre lost his courageous battle with cancer. Dutchess County Sheriff Kirk Imperati made the announcement on social media saying, "With a heavy heart, Sheriff Kirk Imperati announces the passing of Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff Nicholas Gasparre. On the evening of Friday, November 15, 2024, Deputy Gasparre succumbed to his courageous battle with cancer."

When Sheriff Imperati made the announcement he asked the community to keep Nick's family, friends, and his colleagues at the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office in your thoughts and prayers. Following services for Nick, many in the law enforcement community promised that there would be a celebration of Nick's life coming in the next few months and it appears they have followed through on that promise.
