Thankfully, we got our hands on some new data that breaks down just how busy some of our favorite restaurants are. It’s called Placer.Ai, and it ranked the busiest restaurants across the Hudson Valley based on foot traffic over the past year. The numbers are honestly pretty wild, and if you’ve spent any time eating out in the area, a lot of these names probably won’t surprise you.

Busiest Places to Eat in the Hudson Valley

Poughkeepsie alone had a huge showing on the list, with places like Adams Cafe at Adams Fairacre Farms welcoming 78,000 visitors over the last year, while Sugar & Spice Cafe pulled in an impressive 197,000 visitors. Cosimo’s Trattoria & Bar, Shadows on the Hudson, Hudson Grab & Go Market, Dutchess Diner, and Tasty Crab House all also made strong appearances.

Newburgh absolutely dominated the rankings, too, especially along the waterfront. Hudson Taco welcomed a staggering 282,800 visitors last year, while neighboring Pizza Shop saw 157,500 people walk through the doors. Blu Pointe also cracked the top five with more than 213,000 visitors.

And then there’s Billy Joe’s Ribworks.

Billy Joe’s in Newburgh officially ranked as the busiest restaurant in the Hudson Valley with an eye-popping 375,900 visitors over the past year. Between the waterfront views, live music, line dancing nights, and giant plates of barbecue, it’s become one of those places almost everyone in the Hudson Valley has been to at least once.
