Growing up, my parents always told us to 'keep our eyes open' when in busy places like big cities, sporting events, concerts and the airport, because you never know who you may bump into.

I always have my head on a swivel when i'm in heavy populated places like those; in Vegas have been shoulder to shoulder with Giada De Laurentiis and Luke Bryan (not at the same time) walking across Las Vegas Blvd, I saw CC Sabathia from the Yankees in Target at the Palisades Mall once, and of course, have seen so many of my favorite artists outside the venue after a concert.

Do You Keep Your Cool Around Famous People?

I'll admit it, i'm a fan girl so I get a little giddy when in the presence of a famous person (remember when I embarrassed the hell out of myself on stage introducing BUSH at Bethel Woods a few years ago?). While others are more calm, cool, and collected, i'm just the opposite.

Years ago at JFK, I was getting ready for a flight and as they started to call for boarding, swore that Steven Tyler from Aerosmith was casually standing in line ahead of us.

Naturally, I acted a fool and didn't get a picture, butt couldn't stop talking about it while boarding, and during the entire flight out west.

Just last week I was flying home from Mexico with a large group, when during our layover in Atlanta, a pretty familiar face was along side us at the gate.

You Never Know Who You'll See At The Airport

Coming off eight days at an all inclusive in Mexico for a destination wedding, it should be no surprise that heading home, we were all tired, sunburnt, and smelling of tequila while at the airport.

The Atlanta airport is pretty big, so after getting through customs, re-checking our luggage, and grabbing some food before our final leg of travel, we were all kind of quietly hanging out by the gate when the chatter started...

Did you see who is sitting at our gate right there?

That really isn't Spike Lee, is it?

It was absolutely Spike Lee, and some in our group that are much calmer around celebs than me managed to get a photo-op with him before boarding began, and said he was pretty chill about it too.

Of course my friends had jokes about being on the flight with Spike Lee and me...a Poughkeepsie-based alt-rock radio DJ....and all I managed to do was awkwardly smile at Spike sitting in first class as I walked down the plane aisle once they called for those of us sitting in ZONE 8 to finally board....we are NOT the same.

Have you ever been on a plane with a celebrity, if so who, and were they cool with being noticed?
