It's the most wonderful time of the year! The holiday season is upon us and there are a few ways to celebrate across the Hudson Valley.

Over the last few years drive-thru displays have seen a spike in popularity and so have walk-thru Christmas villages. Thankfully, there are a handful to choose from.

Spirit Christmas Opens in Poughkeepsie at New Location

The holiday spirit landed in the area fairly early this year. In the beginning of November 2025, Spirit Christmas opened up their doors in Poughkeepsie for the 2nd year in a row.

However, this year was a little different as Spirit Christmas opened in a new location at the Shoppes at South Hills.

Spirit Christmas is filled to the brim with all things holiday season. They have everything from inflatables for your lawn to ugly sweaters for your next Christmas party.

Hudson Valley Towns As Christmas Movies

As we head into the holiday season, you'll be bombarded withe cheesy Christmas movies.

Many of them will have plots that have the main characters heading Upstate, and every once in a while a Hudson Valley town will get a shoutout. I believe in 2024 a Netflix Christmas movie starring Christina Milian took place in Poughkeepsie.
