
How Long Will This Hudson Valley DMV Location Be Closed?
The New York Department of Motor Vehicles is also known as the DMV and has several locations throughout our state. I’ve watched TV shows and movies where they mock DMV offices for fun.
However, when we know that we're going to visit the DMV, we could schedule time out of our day to do this and have a better perspective.
I visited a DMV location a few years ago and it went smoothly. We can always call ahead to ask questions, check about their hours and learn more information.
All thanks to social media, we now know that a Hudson Valley DMV location is temporarily closed.
How Long Will This Hudson Valley DMV Location Be Closed?
An Orange County Legislator, Genesis Ramos shared this helpful information on social media. She included that the City of Newburgh’s DMV location will be temporarily closed.
This will take place for about 6 weeks and began on Monday, July 7, 2025. The City of Newburgh’s DMV location is closed for renovations.

While This Office Is Closed, What Other DMV Locations Can We Visit In The Hudson Valley?
Orange County Legislator, Genesis Ramos also included that there will be a Mobile DMV open on Monday’s in the City of Newburgh’s DMV parking lot.
There are other DMV locations that residents can visit instead. On the New York state Department of Motor Vehicles website, there’s a DMV office locations finder.
Those who are interested can enter their city or zip code into the search bar to find a location. Hudson Valley residents can visit their Hudson Valley locations including Middletown, Goshen, Port Jervis, Monticello, Beacon, Wappingers Falls, Poughkeepsie, Kingston and more.
In addition to these locations, there are mobile DMV locations that may be even more helpful.

Also on the New York state DMV’s website, there’s a list of mobile DMV locations by each county. Some of these locations include Broomie, Erie and Monroe counties. Additional mobile DMV locations are Otsego, Renssealer, Orange, Sullivan, Ulster and more.
When clicking on the county of the Mobile DMV location, there will be an updated list of dates and times that they are open.
