Local foodies may also agree that two fan favorite Hudson Valley diners are the best within New York state. Two Sullivan County, NY diners made a list by ILOVENY. This ranking featured "25 of the Best Diners in New York State".

Along with food options, Hudson Valley locations were ranked among the best mountain towns in America.

Hudson Valley natives may be used to the beautiful scenery in the area. Driving throughout the region, guests can see mountains in different directions.

The Beacon Mountain, Storm King Mountain, Peekamoose Mountain and Shawangunk Mountains are some of the many mountain views we can see everyday.

However, two Hudson Valley locations were ranked among the best mountain towns in America and they're in Sullivan County, NY.

Sullivan County, NY Locations Among Best Mountain Towns In The U.S.

Men's Journal mentioned 34 of the best mountain towns in America. As I was reading through this list, I was excited to see that New York state was on there. It wasn't a surprise that Sullivan County, NY mountains were ranked some of the best.

Men's Journal shared that Roscoe and Callicoon, NY are among the best mountain towns in the U.S. Roscoe, NY is the home to the famous Roscoe Diner along with being a fishing town.

Callicoon, NY is known for its beautiful outdoor views of nature scenery, outdoor activities and water sports. 

They also included that these locations are the

"Best Quick Urban Escape"

What Hudson Valley Locations Should Be Added To The Best Mountain Towns In America Ranking?

There are additional Hudson Valley locations that were not on the list of best mountain towns in America that I believe should be added. 

New Paltz is located within Ulster County, NY. This historic college town is filled with locally owned shops, eateries, hiking trails and beautiful views. These outdoor locations overlook the Shawangunk Mountains. Guests can also dine in New Paltz, NY and have the mountains as their background during dinner. 

The Boiceville and Phoenicia, NY area is located within Ulster County, NY as well. I enjoy visiting this area, the air always smells fresh with big, lush pine trees and views of the Catskill mountains.
