I love all different flavors of bagels.Thankfully, New York state is the home to some of the best bagels.

I've traveled to different states and their bagels don't compare to how ours taste here. We know that the bagels in New York state are delicious but do we consider where they actually come from?

Can Ulster County, NY Take Credit For New York City's "Best Bagels"?

The water at one of my favorite Hudson Valley destinations may be the reason why bagels in New York City taste great. The Ashokan Reservoir is located in Ulster County, NY and it has beautiful views and scenery.

94.3 Lite FM shared information about the water from the Ulster County, NY area and how it ends up in the Big Apple. According to the Department of Environmental Conservation,

"This 8,315 acre reservoir is a major component of the Catskill System of the New York City Water supply. "

I knew that there was a reason why I loved the Ashokan Reservoir besides its beauty, it also allows our bagels in New York state to taste delicious!

There's a bagel shop that opened a new location in the Hudson Valley.

Grizzly Bagels are known for their popular, handcrafted bagels. They mentioned how they have been voted "Best Bagel" for years by the River Reporters readers.

Grizzly Bagels have a variety of bagel flavors including jalapeno cheddar, sesame, everything, blueberry maple, rosemary parmesan, rye, plain and more. They also have add ons for their bagel options, egg sandwiches and more.

Grizzly Bagels had their grand opening at their new location on October 20, 2024. They had a ribbon cutting ceremony along with giveaways, bagels and more. Guests have shared their excitement on social media about this business's newest location in Sullivan County, NY.
