Can This Fruit Really Predict New York's Seasonal Weather?
The Old Farmers Almanac shared exciting news on their Facebook. They explained that there’s a way we could use fruit to learn about the weather in New York state.
Their Facebook post included instructions on how to figure out upcoming weather by using a persimmon. The Old Farmers Almanac suggests that we open the fruit and look at the seeds.
They included that if,
“The kernel is SPOON-shaped, expect plenty of snow to shovel.”
However, if it’s
“FORK-shaped, plan on a mild winter with powdery, light snow.”
The Old Farmers Almanac wasn’t done with the spoons and forks just yet. They continued to share,
“If the kernel is KNIFE-shaped, expect frigid winds that will “cut” like a blade.”
I sure hope the persimmons that we open in the Hudson Valley are more fork shaped, haha.
