I love that it feels like summer in the Hudson Valley! The past couple of days, we have had such sunshine, 80 degree temps and it feels great. Honestly, I did put on the air conditioner the past couple of days along with cruising around with the windows down!
New York State Program Allows Eligible Residents To Receive A Free Air Conditioner
We may have not only turned on the air conditioning in our cars but maybe used fans while at home to cool off. It’s a good reminder to think ahead for summer and start cleaning off our air conditioners.
The New York State of Health made an announcement about the Essential Cooling Program. This program is now accepting applications.
Here's What We Know About The Essential Cooling Program In New York State
The New York State of Health shared that the Essential Cooling Program can help residents this summer. They included that using an air conditioner can help keep the air around us not only cool but clean as well.
According to the New York State of Health, eligible Essential plan members could receive a free air conditioner which would be delivered and installed. This program is available to those on a first come, first serve way.
How Can New York State Residents Apply For A Free Air Conditioner This Summer?
The New York State of Health shared that those who are eligible to receive a free air conditioner this summer should meet certain requirements.
First, residents would apply for the Essential Cooling Program and also be enrolled in the Essential Plan under New York State. Additional requirements can be found on the New York State of Health’s website along with links online to apply for this program.
