How Did This East Coast Soup Company Get It's Name?


This soup company shared that they got their start in the 1860's. They were located out of Camden, New Jersey and are still manufacturing their soup in this location.

The Campbell's Company shared that Joseph Campbell and Abraham Anderson came together to create Anderson & Campbell which later became Campbell Soup Company.

They also explained that the,

"First jar of ready-to-eat soup, Beefsteak Tomato, is introduced. New Jersey Beefsteak tomatoes had been our signature product for over 25 years, featured prominently on our labels and first trademark."

I remember the Campbell's soup commercials from when I was a child. One commercial was made in the 1990's about a snowman who was outside in the cold and decided to go indoors. He was given a hot bowl of Campbell's chicken noodle soup where he turns into a boy enjoying this soup at the table.

Comments on this YouTube video from Campbell's nostalgic video included users sharing that this reminded them of their childhood, they also would love for the company to use this commercial is the present day. Others included that this commercial was one of their favorites and how they still love their soup.

In November 2024, The Associated Press shared helpful information about one of our favorite soup brands. They explained that Campbell's soup will now have a new name. The idea of the name change has been going on for months and was finally approved by shareholders.

The Associated Press shared,

"Campbell Soup Co. announced its intention to change its name just over two months ago, saying it wanted to instead be known as the (slightly shorter) "

What Has Campbell's Soup Changed Their Name To?


Also in November 2024, this soup company explained that they changed their name from the Campbell Soup Company to The Campbell's Company.

The Campbell's Company also owns Pepperidge Farm, Rao's and other popular options we see in the grocery store.
