The Sullivan County, NY Government shared an exciting post on social media. They explained that The Sullivan County Parks & Recreation Office is accepting pictures that capture the beautiful fall scenes. These pictures can be of Sullivan County, NY parks and museums.
This contest is open to any age and skill level. However, if the photographer is under the age of 18, they would have to get permission from their parents or guardians. The Sullivan County, NY Government Facebook page also shared that the photographer can submit up to three pictures that were taken by themselves.
Which Sullivan County, NY Landmarks Have To Be In The Submitted Pictures?
I love that the pictures that are chosen will be on display throughout the area! These locations would include the Sullivan County Museum and Cultural Center in Hurleyville along with the Government Center in Monticello, NY
They explained that the pictures have to be from a Sullivan County museum or park. The locations include D&H Canal Interpretive Center and Linear Park in Summitville and Fort Delaware Museum of Colonial History in Narrowsburg.
Additional Sullivan County locations include Lake Superior State Park’s Beach Area in Bethel which I’ve been to before (love it)! The Livingston Manor Covered Bridge Park in Livingston Manor, Minisink Battleground Park in Barryville and Stone Arch Bridge Historical Park in Kenoza Lake are on the list.
Last but not least, a submitted picture could also be from the Sullivan County Museum & Cultural Center in Hurleyville.
Here’s one of the best parts! The pictures that get submitted could be used for Sullivan County promotional use.
How Do We Submit Pictures To The Sullivan County Parks & Recreation Office?
If you’re curious as to how the pictures will be judged then you’re not alone. The Sullivan County, NY Government Facebook page highlighted that,
“Photos will be judged on composition, focus, use of light, and the artistic presentation of the subject.”
These applications are being accepted through November 30, 2025
