A Hudson Valley holiday tradition will continue into 2025. The ERDAJT's Christmas Light Display will dazzle in Dutchess County later on this month.

Record Breaking Light Display Becomes a Hudson Valley Holiday Tradition

In 1995 Tim and Grace Gay took 600 holiday lights and began what would later become a Hudson Valley tradition for families near and far.

The ERDAJT Christmas Light Display got its name from each of the Gay children Emily Raejean (ER), Daniel Arthur (DA), and John Timothy (JT). As the Gay family grew, so did their light display.

The house on 8 Patrick Lane in LaGrange has broken records with their holiday display.  From 600 lights in 1995 to a record breaking 738,652 lights in 2024 which let them continue the reign of the Guinness World Records for most lights on a residential property.

Will it be another record breaking year for 2025?

Looks like we have an official start date and a breakdown of how many lights will be on display.

According to the ERDAJT Facebook page their display season officially kicks off on November 28th, 2025 at 4:45 pm.

This years display will have "about 745,994 lights" and is animated to 250 songs. You can see the display at 8 Patrick Lane until December 28th, 2025.

Remember When Jimmy Fallon Took A Shot at ERDAJT?

When you visit the display please remember to be courteous to those who live around the display.

We say this because a few years back, the NYT and  Hudson Valley's own Jimmy Fallon called out the light display.
