Thankfully it’s spring in the Hudson Valley! Warmer days with more sunshine have returned to the area. I love that the grass is starting to get green and we’re seeing the return of wildlife friends.

Along with spring comes one of my favorite holidays, Easter! The bright colors and cute decorations add to the joy of this holiday along with all of the fun candy too.

DoorDash included some interesting data about Easter candy that was purchased in 2025. They created a map that highlighted candy that was purchased in each state during this holiday.

For New York State, our top choice/purchase includes Reese’s peanut butter bunnies which is one of my favorite candies!

I love chocolate and peanut butter but other yummy candy that we can find in the stores for Easter can be Peeps, Cadbury Creme Eggs, jelly beans and more. While we think ahead for Easter and all the goodies that we will purchase, we can do something easier this year.

Hudson Valley Farm Brings Easter Egg Hunt To Your Yard

There’s so much love for our local farms within the Hudson Valley. They provide us with fresh food and allow us to visit their location to get goodies along with hosting events.

An Ulster County farm made an exciting post on social media. They mentioned that they are offering their 3rd Annual Egg My House event. This would be that their eggs can be delivered to your home.

J.J. Farms In New Paltz, NY is offering this delivery in addition to putting these eggs throughout your yard for an Easter egg hunt! I love this idea. It allows us to support local businesses, have someone organize an Easter egg hunt for us and still have fun!

How Can We Participate In This Easter Egg Hunt Delivery In The Hudson Valley?

We can visit J.J. Farms posts on Facebook to see more. Their posts will bring us to Google docs link. From here, we can fill out a form to make this happen!

On the form, they ask if we want to pick up the eggs or get them delivered. We also have the option of choosing if we want toy or candy filled eggs along with other fun options.

For more information, be sure to visit their website or social media platforms.

Happy spring and Happy Easter! 🙂

5 Ways To Know It's Spring In The Hudson Valley

I always know that spring has started when I first hear the sound of spring peepers. This may also consist of flowers start to blossom, the greenery throughout mother nature and return of several wildlife critters.

Others may also agree and share their opinions too.

As we are different people, we notice things differently as well. While someone takes an interest in a woodpecker in the tree on a soothing morning, someone else may notice a lawnmower humming noise during their breakfast.

On WRRV, a Facebook post asked local residents to share their opinion.

The question stated:

"Tell me it’s spring in the Hudson Valley without telling me it’s spring in the Hudson Valley, GO!"

Hudson Valley residents were not shy when it came to answering this question. Let's take a look at ways we can notice that it's spring in the Hudson Valley from all age groups and different locations.
