Everyone is trying to catch up with the Easter Bunny this spring and the Town of New Paltz Youth Program along with the New Paltz Police Department have two events you can enjoy next weekend (March 27 and 28, 2021). Both events are free and everyone is invited to do one or both.

The Easter Stone Hunt is being held at Hasbrouck Park on both Saturday (March 27) and Sunday (March 28). This is a scavenger hunt you can do on your own time over those two days. Get a Easter Stone inventory list from npyp.org as soon as they are available.

Once you have completed the hunt for the Easter stones you can turn in your sheet to the New Paltz Youth Program to redeem your prize. They will be available Monday to Friday the week after the hunt from 8A to 6P. Kim Tinger is your contact at 845-325-2593.

The other Easter Bunny event will be held at Historic Huguenot Street with the Easter Bunny stopping through on a fire truck. On Saturday March 27 (Rain date March 28) you can take part in the 33rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Historic Huguenot Street. There are four time slots limited to 150 people per slot and you must sign up with Eventbrite in advance.

Masks and social distancing will be required. There will be music with DJ Jay Smooth, balloons and refreshments. Children ages 1 through 12 can attend anytime slot and should be accompanied by an adult.

These events are also sponsored by Shoprite, NP Office of Community Wellness, The NP Fire Department and Rescue Squad
