East Fishkill PD Warns of Traffic Delays For Commuters
Be mindful if you're out on the roads later and plan ahead. We are getting into a very busy time of year in the Hudson Valley. Everyone is back to school, activities are in full swing and unfortunately it gets dark very early now. With all of that and more going on, it's an important reminder for everyone to leave extra time when going places.
Where will there be traffic delays today in the Hudson Valley?
According to the East Fishkill Police Department, there will be some traffic delays expected for later today. The delays will stretch from Rt. 82/ Beekman Road to Route 82/ Rt. 376 and into the village. If that area is part of your commute you'll need to plan accordingly.
When will the delays be going on?
Good question, the delays are expected to go on from 2:00pm-4:00pm and again at 6:00pm to 9:00pm. As of right now, the delays are only happening today and it's a pretty short window of time.
Why? What's going on?
Usually, a reason is given like construction or roadwork, but no specific reason has been listening for the alert. We hope everyone gets to where they need to be and is safe. Just a reminder, the potential delays could be for a funeral so please be kind to those on the road, put the frustration and road rage aside and help out so everyone can get home safely.
Safe travels to everyone on the roadways in the Hudson Valley.
