The City of Kingston is asking for your input, on not just one potential project but two of them and they are taking your comments, suggestions, feedback and potential complaints through the dates listed below.

The projects?

  • The Pedestrian Action Safety Plan is looking at the feasibility of upgrading or changing the walking paths at seven different intersections throughout the City of Kingston. The intersections that were selected were done so because of the higher than average pedestrian traffic and an above average risk of accidents.

  • The Wilbur Avenue Paving Project, has to do with correcting "drainage issues on Wilbur Avenue (NYS Route 213), which have caused deterioration of the road and resulted in hazardous driving conditions"  Comments on the Wilbur Ave Project will be accepted through July 15, 2020. The construction project is expected to start in April of 2021.

Do you think that being able to give your comments or feedback online is a great way to do it? The 'old way' was making sure you submitted your comments in writing or you had to make sure you made it to the open hearing meeting.
