Just last week a car accident knocked out the power on one of the coldest days of the season. The accident took place in front of Ulster County Canines, a dog rescue housing 30 dogs at the time.
Shortly after a post on social media for generators, candles blankets and more in a effort to keep the pups warm, the crisis was averted.
