Is There Another Boston, but Is It in the Hudson Valley?
There's a duplicate of a big city name right here in the Hudson Valley.
There are many cool names of towns/hamlets in the Hudson Valley. It's always funny to me when you notice a name of a place that's similar and speaking of that, there's a town here and somewhere else in the country that shares the name. Everyone knows that Boston is a HUGE city in Massachusetts, but there's a place in the Hudson Valley that shares the same name....sort of.
There is a place in the Hudson Valley called Boston Corner. Boston Corner is a hamlet that's located in the town of Ancram, which is right in Columbia County. There's some pretty cool history behind it, it's located at the junction of three railroads that ran through the town. Boston Corner also reportedly has one hotel, one store, one black-smith shop and a few more features (a ton of Hallmark vibes). The State of Massachusetts actually gave Boston Corner its name because it once owned the triangular track of land. Sounds like a cute and charming place to check out.
So there is another Boston, this one is just a bit smaller, has a longer name and is in a completely different state.
