Spring is on its way! There are only two more days until it's officially spring in the Hudson Valley. I've been counting down the days since November.
If you're like me, you found ways to keep the winter blues away. From meditation to reiki, yoga, red light therapy and exercise, I was on a mission to feel my best this winter season.
Also saying, "Brighter days ahead" kept the optimism flowing and now it feels like it paid off. Recently, I was traveling and came back to the East Coast.
As soon as I arrived back, I was excited about the sound that I heard. This noise is something that I haven't experienced in months.
Is This The Best Sound In The Hudson Valley?
Once I got back into the Hudson Valley, I heard the sound of spring peepers! You may have heard spring peepers when you're near a pond.
This frogs song brings the excitement of spring and all that it has to offer. The Farmers Almanac shared that these frogs are heard on spring nights and may be related to mating.
I've also heard the choir of birds happily singing and already saw the return of squirrels and worms.

Take a few minutes to pause and enjoy the sound of the spring peepers. There's something so soothing about its song and the choir of frogs that chirp along.
What Else Can We Look Forward To After Hearing Spring Peepers In The Hudson Valley?
With the start of spring, we can look forward to the opening of our favorite, locally owned ice cream shops. Now that the sun has started to set after 7pm, we can enjoy more daylight and time outside longer.
I’m excited for the return of outdoor concerts and events. I love seeing blossoming flowers and spending time in the sun. The brighter days have finally arrived in the Hudson Valley, woohoo!
