We’ve officially entered the month of summer! June is one of my favorite months in the Hudson Valley for many reasons. With the start of June, summer begins and we also get to enjoy warmer temps with sunnier days. The birds are chirping and the smell of fresh cut grass is something that we get to experience often.

It also seems as if the community wakes up from the winter months and is thankful to spend more time outdoors. Along with being outside, we can participate in outdoor activities, attend more events and make some time to play!

Where Can Residents Play Pickleball In The Hudson Valley?

Hudson Valley residents will be able to play pickleball at Somerville Field in Monticello, NY and can visit other locations while they wait. Dink Pickleball has recently opened in Kingston, NY. This is an indoor pickleball and guests can play daily. Hudson Valley Pickleball and Golf Center is open and located in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Additional pickleball locations include Paddles of Fury Pickleball Training Academy Hudson Valley in New Paltz, NY.

I’ve always been interested in playing pickleball, I used to love to play tennis! Although they are different, I feel as if I would enjoy pickleball because of its similarities to tennis. It seems as if pickleball is more of a casual sport.

Take a Tour of Sullivan County, NY's Newest Underground Salt Cave

Crystal Connection is a 1890's antique, Methodist church located in Sullivan County, NY. This is a crystal lover's dream come true.

It's known for being

"One of the largest Crystal & Mineral destinations on the Northeast."

While this may be a place that some people gather often, others can refer to it as a hidden gem in the Hudson Valley.  Crystal Connection can also be described as

"a sacred space & crystal haven"

I have never experienced anything similar to Crystal Connection before. The amount of crystals, crystal jewelry, singing bowls, sage and more are fascinating. Crystal Connection also hosts different events and fairs throughout the year.
