2020 Huguenot Street Series Ends with the Winter Walk
The historical neighborhood at the edge of town in the Village of New Paltz, Huguenot Street has had a pretty busy schedule of events this year even though COVID kept their buildings closed to the public. They had a great season of Boos and Brews, they had virtual tours available for folks who downloaded their app and they have had a wonderful outdoor hiking series.
The last of four outdoor walks will wrap up this Saturday with the winter version. Historic Huguenot Street (HHS) and Wild Hudson Valley teamed up for four seasonal walks this year. Each season's trek has focused on what the native indigenous people of the Hudson Valley and local land has to offer throughout the year. Each walk has been lead by guide Justin Wexler.
This last hike for 2020 The Winter Hunt: Bears, Stars and Snow will take place this Saturday (Dec 12th, 2020) from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. It is a ticketed event and tickets are non-refundable. The walk meets to start at the DuBois Fort Visitor Center at Huguenot Street for check-in then proceeds to the Esopus Munsee wigwam. The walk leaves from the wigwam for a guided tour through the Nyquist-Hartcourt Wildlife Sanctuary.
General admission tickets are $18. Discount Admission is $16. HHS members, seniors, students, active military members, and veterans qualify for this reduced price.
