$1 Million Scratch-Offs Sold at Stores Across New York State
A Hudson Valley woman purchased a $1 million winning scratch-off from a popular store in the region. Lottery officials say four more million-dollar tickets are still out there.
One woman from Ulster County got pretty lucky! Four more winning tickets have yet to be claimed.
Judith Arginsky of Ellenville has claimed her $1,000,000 top prize on the New York Lottery's $1,000,000 Bonus Word Cashword scratch-off game, according to lottery officials.
The winning ticket was purchased at Stewart’s Shop located at 99 South Main St. in Ellenville.
Arginsky received her $1,000,000 as a single lump-sum payment totaling $651,000 after required withholdings.
Lottery officials did not say what Arginsky plans to do with her winnings.
As of this writing, there were four top prizes remaining on the $1,000,000 Bonus Word Cashword ticket, according to the New York State Lottery. Players may check the status of any New York Lottery Scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov.
New York Lottery scratch-off games generated $4,231,742,980 in total sales during the fiscal year 2020-2021. School districts in Ulster County received $29,444,888 in Lottery Aid to Education funds during the same time period.
