‘Real Housewives’ Alum Has Deli Right Here in the Hudson Valley
One deli has some pretty big connections to the BRAVO Television Network.
I'm going to keep saying this over and over again, I'm a big fan of the 'Real Housewives' and in particular the "Real Housewives of New Jersey'. I have been rewatching some of the older episodes and one guy on the show always stood out as a nice guy and someone who had their you know what together. Any guesses?
Vito Scalia was part of the show for a few seasons and he was the boyfriend/eventually husband to Lauren Manzo. Lauren's mom Caroline is one the OG ladies from the franchise and is someone who is pretty unforgettable. Vito was also best friends with Caroline's sons Albie and Chris Manzo and we watched his friendships and relationship grow even stronger on camera.
Sadly, Lauren and Vito split up, but Vito always seemed like a nice and very hardworking guy on the show.
What connection does a 'Real Housewife' alum have to the Hudson Valley?
A few episodes of the show mentioned how Vito's family owned a successful deli and it showed how Vito was working there, the episode even showed Lauren jokingly trying to work there lol. I never could figure out exactly where the deli was and I assumed it was in New Jersey, but it turns out it's right here in the Hudson Valley.
The deli that Vito and his family own is The Best of Little Italy and it's on 785 Route 17M in Monroe (Orange County, New York).
The Best of Little Italy website says that each day they prepare sausage, ravioli and get fresh shipments of bread/cheese and more. People can also purchase all kinds of ingredients there to help them make their favorite Italian dishes, they also have take-home dinners, cater and more.
WARNING: Don't look at their website if you're hungry because you will instantly become staving.
I'm always down to try out new places, especially ones that are featured on my favorite shows. Thank you to the Scalia family for bringing some amazing Italian food to the Hudson Valley and keeping your family legacy alive.
