It's no secret that the best pizza comes from New York, but it's always good to have confirmation from one of the leading food authorities in the country.

Recently, Yelp compiled a list of the 100 best pizzerias in the entire country according to their "elite" reviews. With ten percent of the list coming from the Empire State, our reputation for phenomenal pizza continues... but have you been to any of the locations on the list?

The Best Pizzerias in the Hudson Valley

While the city seems to get most of the pizza love, the Hudson Valley is no slouch when it comes to slices either. From the Barstool-reviewed Pizzeria Posto in Rhinebeck (above) to Lolita's in Poughkeepsie (below), there are some great choices. But who made the latest list?

The Best Pizzerias in the Country Are in New York

Lower on the list, John's of Bleecker Street and Kesté Pizza & Vino came in numbers 46 and 43 on the list respectively. It's the top 10, however, that holds the heavy hitters.

Olio e Più, a restaurant as well as pizzeria, came in at number eight on the list, and the famously-square Prince Street Pizza came in at number seven. Lombardi's Pizza, officially recognized as the country's first pizzeria, was listed at number three.

Which Hudson Valley Pizzeria's Should Have Made Yelp's List?

Unfortunately, the latest Top 100 list eschews the Hudson Valley and focused solely on pizzerias in New York City. That being said, there are several Hudson Valley establishments that could have easily made the list.
